Its just been sugested to me to use a normal 700 ball link on the pitch arm. Should work for me as i only need to gain 2-3mm.
Paul, I think the e arm is used with the v bar to correct the geometry for the uneven pitch values. Not a problem with the bx as you set the pitch +- independantly. Geometrys perfect for the bx with this head.

Just a thought but i had to fit an extra shim on the mainshaft to take up the end float so now these two shims sitting on top of the mainshaft bearing have raised my head considerably. Can they be fitted some where between the top bearing and the maingear as this would solve my problem??

It would prob be a real pain to do that but could be done

I'd not worry about using a extra shim you won't notice any diffence in flight

I've been playing with mine again today post this discussion and have changed my 2 ball links for the standard length large bore ones off the old FBL swash to head links. I was happy with my setup before, but now i have same pitch range as before and 2-3mm more thread in the plastic. Can't be a bad thing!

    thanks for the idea Tony!

Also read on helifreak today that some americans have now received their updated parts. hopefully we'll get ours this week.
