    Default DFC head on 700n

im finding to get 0 degrees im having to raise the swash and wind the ball links on the pitch links out to the point that theres not enough thread in the ball link. This is with the threaded rod tightened fully in the pitch links.
if i undo the threaded rods a few turns from the pitch links then i can wind the ball links back on with enough thread inside them. Do you think these threaded rods should be tightened down fully in the pitch links or are they ok to be left a few turns out?

i know one of the lads at the club took the dfc head off as he experianced the same problem that you are having, having the bolt threaded out a bit didnt seem right, well it was more than a bit to be fair to get it close to zero degrees,he didnt attempt to fly it,is this the same bolt that has been upgraded to make it stronger?

No thats the bolt that holds the pitch link to the pitch arm thats being upgraded.
Im talking about the threaded rod that goes between the ball link and the pitch link.
Ive put a washer behind it so i can atleast tighten it properly but i agree it doesnt seem right to leave it loose.

I had mine setup ok but i am using the 700e elevator A arm on my nitro. This is shorter, so seemed to put it in the right place with everything tight.

A shorter A arm would make things worse, ive had to higher the swash as it is.

The A arm isnt shorter, just increases the servo resolution.

Saw this on HF, maybe able to see what he has done?

dont you need the shorter main shaft to enable the swash to sit higher, then the rods could be tight? maybe im wrong

Yeah sorry i forgot the 700e A arm is only different on the horizontal part. Won't make any difference on the pitch at midstick.

By the way has anybody got the new parts yet? I spoke to Bob at Skyline and he was expecting them to arrive anyday.

Are you all grounded, or are you flying anyway?
