Yeah I did consider the T-Rex stuff, I think that's out of my budget to be honest. It's interesting that no one is really recommending the Century stuff though.

Its not that the century stuff is bad its just there is better out there for the money if your budget is £300 +. If you wanted to get a heli RTF package to see whether you like the hobby without spending a lot of money century is fine. This is the route i went as I only had a set budget and got everything with in budget. If you looking at spending £300 + the blade will win almost all the time. I wish I had the money to get the blade set up it would of saved me a lot of money. Also get a simulator!!!
This is just my opinion

For around £300 I'd go MCPX + DX6i and Phoenix.

I bought my MCPX from here and a bunch of spares. Top quality shop, fast responses etc.
I called Kings Lynn, no answer, I called the Bladehelispares and they hung up :P Not a great start![]()
Email them, usually reply quickly and have sorted out everything quickly for me. I reserved MCPX and soon as they came in stock he let me know and sent me a link to buy it etc. Yet to have a problem from there.
As I am saving a fir amount getting it of off one of these afore mentioned retailers. Apart from a training kit, what should I get? Some spare batteries? If so what ones would you reccomend
A decent simulator is a must in my humble opinion.
+1 on what anti said a Simulator will help no end. Most use Phoenix but there are others like real flight and FMS. A simulator will help get the thumbs moving and you will learn how the blade will react. Plus you will save a small fortune in spares after a crash while your learning to fly.

Ok, will get that too. What batteries do they use?
Phoenix Flight Simulator
Click the link for the website to phoenix. Your DX6i will work with no adaptor and there are plenty of setup guides on here.
Realflight Simulator
I've not used this one but its meant to be good too.
FMS is a free one but I have never used it.

So, tell me I did the right thing..... Oh lordy.
I was all set on buying the Blade, a few extra Batteries as so on. Then an opportunity presented itself that I pretty much could not refuse, especially as it equaled the price of a new Blade with some extra Batteries.
I dread to hear what you have to say. Come with a Brand New Robbie Flight Box too.
