Be interested to here from people around Cambridge myself. One of our offices is in Cambridge and I've had to stay overnight a few times. In summer it'd be cool to find somewhere to fly.

There are loads of clubs around Cambridge, within 10 miles or so. I don't know of any heli-only ones, most do helis and planes.

The biggest club in the area is probably at Waterbeach - I've never been there but I hear they have a huge tarmac runway and fly jets and stuff. There's an occasional forum user on here who flies there - username Lui I think.

There's a club at Bottisham, just off the A14, bit too close to the motorway for my liking - Google co-ordinates 52.210105,0.265474

    There's one at Stumps Cross - 52.089817,0.206616

There's one between Cambridge and Huntingdon somewhere near St Neots - Eynseford I think - Nick who works at Inwood Models flies there, and is also a user on here.

I fly with the Stansted club here 52.069806,0.260786

I'm pretty sure all the above have their own websites which you can find with some Google searching, and the clubs are North, East, South and West of the city.

The waterbeach one is pretty good but fly only weekends but as the base is closing down that might all change,
The st Neots club is both heli and plank flyer but when I was a memeber they wasn't heli friendly and only allowed 2 helis fly at once and only on the hour for 10mins,

I'm not sure of any others but if your on the St Neots side of Cambridge there is the twinwood mac, based in clapham Bedford, good field flying times all year and no time restrictions but abit further from Cambridge, was a memeber there for 4 years till joined MK heli club
