Default What Blade Brand Do you Fly, And Why?

A simple poll! What is the main brand you use, and why?

Personally I always used to use Radix. They were always a very reliable blade, perfectly finished and balanced, and when I was flying flybars, they were spot on in terms of flight characteristics. Since going FBL I've tried a few different brands (Spin, Radix, Edge, Align), and to be honest I have gone back to Align on both my models. They fly well, are well priced, the finish is pretty damn good, and are reliable too. On everything else I tried, I either didn't like the way they flew, or the price difference from the Align's was totally unjustified IMO.

I like the Align 3G blades also, just found them a good all round blade.

I also like Edges but would only buy the b surface ones,I like the Compass blades also but Align will get my vote.

Look forward to the poll results.

ive used SAB, Vblades, Align, Rotortech, NHP, BBT and TBH even though they are stupidly expensive, i found the rotortechs a good all round blade, they were 500 sized, the BBT maniac2 are good as well in the 693mm, i tend to use align now though just because theyre quite good value and gove good performance, i find the spin blades are good in an auto though

i have raddix on the faifa, have tried edge on it but dont like them, the edge on the 700e give more pop from what i can tell and ive got raddix for the 550 which i havnt used yet.

the main reason i use raddix or edge is cos i crash the align blades and then get something else purely for looks,my flying isnt at a level where a differant blade is going to affect itso my blade choice is based purely on how i think they look on the heli

I only fly mild 3D and fast sport and i find the align blades perfect, have tried radix and did not like the wayy fbl500 felt for some reason, the align blades are well made and cheap, yet to try the 3G ones though

My prefured is defo SPINBLADES, ive tried align's, align 3g's, radix fbl, spinblades, sab, ripmax and a few others,
My top peforming ones were Spinblades, sab and radix, I find spinblades to be perfect they are stable fly great and auto great whilst being aggressive and presice! I found radix blades to really really quite they flew ok felt less stable and in ff flight they pitched up quite a bit and didnt auto aswell.

    So im into spinblades!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDGE for me, they work great and I think were the first on the market with FBL style blades. Very stable and predictable style of blades while still being fast.

WHAT!! I clicked BBT Maniacs & it put my vote down as Maveriks. I can't edit it either I use Maniacs because i broke my SABS BUT i found the 553 Maniacs auto better & sound better (bigger farts) so they're a winner for me. Oh if i went FBL i'd probs get some Edge though mainly for looks

Blades, crazy 'ole blades. I could write a book about all the blades I've known :-) These days I am trying to settle down with something that just works. It depends on the heli. On the Trex500 I have tried Torsions (absolutely mad and kinda fun but not very stable), some black carbons I got from choppaholic, 'Pro 3D' 430s and most recently Align 425Fs which I like the best so far.

With the bigger helis I have been trying to find that elusive mix of fast cyclics, stable hover, accurate FF flight, etc. I have had good results with NHP razor pros and NHP cams, standard Radix (tried the FAIs but they just felt too heavy) and have a pair of SAB 208s that I have not tried yet. It's all about the lead/lag, spanwise C of G, total weight, airfoil and most importantly how cool they look :-)

On the 450 it doesn't seem to matter that much (to me anyway) but the Align 325D and F and 3Gs all work quite well as do the cheapy Pro 3Ds.

On the Outrage 550 I currently have some TT 550s because I already had them lying around and they work pretty well so I am not inclined to change them at the moment.

I have probably owned more NHPs than any other single brand.
