Thread: Logo 600 3D tail problem

Hi peeps
I've been having a problem with my logo 600 tail

Problem being, I just can't get the stops crisp :-)

I can only describe it as being very wooly feel,
Now don't get me wrong , it holds fine , just I can't get the tail as crisp as I have on my logo 500 ,which is running on stock settings

Setup is
V-bar mini 5.2 pro
Edge 603 & 95 tails
QUK tail assy
Bls251 tail
HS 2150

I've tried using the tail optimiser , also had a play with I & P-gains ,as well as acceleration ,
But it doesn't seem to make any difference :-(

I'm at a loss now

Any logo 600 peeps care to pipe in please on there tail setup's
Btw the swash is superb, just the tail letting it down :-(

It came with the QUK unit when bought second hand

p.s I am running my Logo 600 on stock settings at around recommended Logo 600 tail gain, the stops are nice and crisp. I've noticed that the Futaba tail servos normally need a fair bit more gain but this might be just horn differences.

I've been having trouble with the tail since fitting the quk one - just will not hold still. I noticed yesterday that I have in/out play on one side of the hub and it occasionally binds on the control arm.

In fact there's a lot about the logo I really don't like and I'm now seriously considering swapping it for a Trex-700

The stock Logo 600 tail works perfect, if I got given a Logo with a quick tail first thing I would do is stick the stock one back on.

Even running 105mm's the stock tail holds up which is not recommended at all on the Logo 600 (and I would not recommend) with 95mms you can safely run up to 2300rpm or so.

I'm not saying the latest Quick version does not work well - it's just the stock one works perfectly for me and many others.

Reset tail settings to Lock mode default if you have not already.

When running the tail optimizer do not have the main optimizer on and just fly as you normally would (3D if so), try not to move the tail around in the hover or low stress areas as it will instead record this instead of where you need it in 3D flight.

Just noticed you are local, I need to try swapping some bits on the Quk to get it working. I have a stock tail that I took off (had 1 flight) If you want to try the stock tail we could do a swap around at the weekend.

Make sure you don' have expo in the TX and on the v bar as this confuses things.
Have you tried a higher gain ?

Nothing wrong with the QuickUK tail Mark, I have them on mine and working perfectly.

Swapping tail's will prove nothing IMO, Will ring you tomorrow.

you meant tail I hope, or I've missed part of the thread somewhere.

I think I've decided to sell the logo, just working out what I want for it and it'll be in the for sale section.

Yes but there have been problems with it (the old quick tail were mentioned quite a bit).

Middle hole on the mikado carbon horn (17mm)
Which gives me 110-110 end points

I am going to go to the outer hole later & reset end points

Laurence - how do u tell if my quk is old type or new ???
