Any convictions? How old? How long licence ? If you have tried go compare and sites alike tri Adrian flux or someuther specialist insurer. Good luck

Try LV or Adrian Flux, my son has been insured with both of them for a Golf GTdi at reasonable cost (about £800 when most were asking for £1000+).
Come on...........get on with it doooohhhhhh!!!

I'm with Swift Cover and Adrian Flux. Really great service from both.

Go onto comparison websites and have a look. Some can be cheap for one but dearer for someone else.

I subscribe to moneysavingexpert.com and lots of friends have used their car insurance tips and tactics over the years with great success, below is a link to their "young drivers" section on car insurance. Its also good for eating out as they have vouchers and offers for various places which is what I mostly use it for, its free btw, Ian.Young Driver Car Insurance: Tips, discounts, cashback & more...

That's nothing, my brother on an old R reg 1.2 corsa, 3rd part f & t, was paying £190 a month in his first year!!!! Now a year later he has a 306 1.6, and it is still £140 a month!! I have found direct line quite competitive really, we pay around £400 fully comp for our 307

I always found Privilige gave me the best deal for conventional cars - even cheaper than Direct Line, and they are part of the same company! However, now I only drive "classics", I've found Footman James to offer the best deal.

I've been with Direct Line for a few years but the renewal had crept up so I went through the price comparison sites and couldn't save more that £5 on £400 premium (up from £328!). I'd had a quote from Aviva but they were over £500. With a few days to go before I renewed I had a phone call from Aviva and they came down to £358 with little effort, when I rang Direct Line to cancel the renewal they would also have reconsidered their quote.

Its easy for me because I'm officially old and have lots of NCD, you can play two insurers off against each other to reduce premiums but for young drivers forget it, my daughter is paying £1700 for a Mini One.
