does seam to be a bit of a departure from a straightforward RC sim. but the FPV use would explain part of it.

as for upgrade and if this one is going to be chargeable, well they have always been extremely reasonable re costs in the past so hopefully they will stick to this policy and if there is just a software upgrade it will be minimal, if however it requires a completely new lead, then we could see a different story.

It does seem like a strange departure. They are basically turning it in to an expensive/complicated computer game! Let's hope there are some decent updates to the general physics, especially auto's

i think like most people will stick with version 3, don't get me wrong this looks good but i only want to keep it close to me for trying out new stuff with planks and heli's so i cant see the point in being able to fly over an ever lasting landscape, will wait till it comes out to see if want it, I'm not paying for any more PC upgrades as I've already bought a new graphics card for version to run at full specs, hope they release a new update for us lot on v3

All of the current panoramic (photo-field) sites in earlier versions will silently function perfectly in the 4.0 version. We will be working on a new, updated version of Phoenix creator in the near future. We hope to be releasing a BETA version of V4 early next week.

Couldn't agree more. Im guessing their server is very busy tonight as my download is painfully slow. What would take about 40 seconds on my connection is going to take about an hour

I've downloaded it and I have to say the 3D landscapes are.........rubbish, they look like Delta Force Land Warrior from the 90's!

I downloaded it last night, played with the fpv for a few mins but that was all, cant say I notice much difference in normal use although I didn't have that long to play with it.

But its a big upgrade and im sure some updates/bugfixes will be following fairly soon.
