I must say I quite like it....

The FPV in planes is a laugh, and given that I'm dangling my toes in FPV - quite useful! Great for practicing the landing technique.

I do think the fbl heli behaves a bit more realistically actually, but can't quite out my finger on why. Feels more connected I guess.

I see they mentioned in the V4 press release that they improved FBL heli physics specifically... I'm still downloading the update so haven't tried myself.

Yes, imo flight model is vastly improved. No more flying on the moon feeling and artificial drifts. I've spend last 40 minutes flying and the difference is substantial.
I've checked FPV and 3D landscape for 5 minutes, nothing to see there, but it has great potential for full 3D sites.

The do need to improve wind simulation now. With really locked in and realistic flying helis, they feel like hmm.. in no wind (with wind disabled) which makes them really easy to fly

BTW: If you have your old variants set to 100% I'd suggest turning this down, they went a bit bonkers with some models @100%.
Awesome update in short! Very pleased with Phoenix.

Laurence, trees and grass definitely need to be more realistic when it comes to trimming!
I am sending my suggestion to Phoenix now!.

That's what it was running at when I downloaded it.

Must admit to say its a BETA version I love the upgrades and it's running perfect.

Sounds have changed a little but that's no crises.

Tried it out with my nvidia 3d glasses on my xps and it looks ok. Should be good for learning fpv. I had to set the 3d slider in my nvidia driver to the max to get the 3d to look decent. the flybarless physics are different for sure. Its still pretty buggy though, caused a BSOD when I quite the app. I was working on a fractal landscape generator in 2008 for a MMO game and we had better frame rate back then

, that was using open gl though not too sure about direct x. I'm sure some optimisation still needs to be done before final release. Not bad though overall.
